I've lived here on "The Circle" for quite a few years, so maybe I can help you. One thing, though - the house numbers jump around a lot - there doesn't seem to be any logical order to them, so I may not have an answer right away. It might take a quick drive around the neighborhood to find it.
You could either post your question here or email me for a response. I'll be glad to help you if I can. |

Thank you so much for your reply. I am not sure if I know how to do this or not. The home that I lived in in the 40's was a white rambler. The drive way slopped down from the road to a one car garage. When facing the house the garage was on the left. There were a couple of windows and then the front door another window before the end of the front porch. There were two windows after that. Of course the bank that slopes off of that side of the house seemed very steep at my young age. ( It was a one story with a partial basement under the bedroom windows to the right of the front door when facing the house.
To get there I remember that we drove on a bridged road passed Kellog school, thru the valley past the golf course and turned right on to spring valley road. Next bearing right past all of the roads that led to other houses along the way, at the time there were two roads. We referred to the second road as the POINT because it was a "Y" if you went to the right you were below our house, if you stayed on the main road the next house was ours. It was before you reached the flat of the hill which led to the Kennedy Farm, where the road then circled and went down the hill to join the main road again. Make sense? I would love to send you a photo if I can figure out how to. My best friend lived in a house on the first off shoot road that burned down not long ago. Apparently someone rebuilt the house but closer to the main road, or highway. I will look forward to any information that you can give me. I remember the people that lived in the house on the lower road were known as the Tureheart's. Someone told me that they bought our old house but I have not been able to confirm that via the net. There was also a park, so to speak across the road from our house. I do not know who owned it or if it was an official park. We just called it that. It was a hunk of undeveloped property with some out door bar-b-que pits. Thank you again for taking your precious time in helping me reconnect. Judy |

I grew up on the Circle 1951-1975. There were very few homes in the 40's. A bunch were built in the early 50's. and a scattered few after that. I think the house you are refering to is across the street from where I lived. It has a lot of pine trees. It had (I guess still does) an odd address number. Most houses are 4 digits, mine was 1447. But that house, as I remember was 45 or maybe 47? Becase it was older. Bill and Edna Long, of Long's Parkette lived there in the very early 50's. My brother helped dig out more of that basement on the right end of the house. The house may also have a 4 digit address in addition to the old one. If this is not the right house, post another message maybe we can figure it out. Arnie
