They have phones there?

Obama has already conceded WV–he keeps saying so in Oregon. I think after PA he knows he can't win over the back woods whites, and why should he try? WV has a very small population. He's going to focus on the remaining larger, more liberal states.

People of WV. I challenge you to overcome racial divides and lies and vote for OBAMA. Hillary is not the nominee so don't waste your votes. This is exactly what the republicans want so let's end this.

West Virginia is, and always will be, backwards. Perhaps she'll hold a victory speech on the back of a pickup at a Klan rally.

That's because people in West Virginia are poor and uneducated.

Is WV somewhere in the middle of pacific ocean with no TV and internet? Geezzzz

who cares?? is this really news? we already know she gets the redneck vote!!! most in WV keep all in the family anyway — why wouldn't they all agree on HER??!!!

zzzzzz…nobody cares!!
W Virginia is the U.S. equivalent of Uzbekistan…
Do they even have electricity in this state land??

If these outraged you as much as they outraged me, send CNN a message telling them you aren't going to sit back and have these horrible comments made about our great state. I have already massaged them.
Oh Herd, don't let the Communist News Network get under your skin.
Hell, look where CNN is located! The same place I have been stuck for almost 4 years now Atlanta!!!!!

CNN bashing WV phoey!

CNN, located in one of the most high crime, dreary, bankrupt and most dangerous cities in America. Come visit Atlanta and not the tourist areas, well what is left of those anyway, and see first hand what CNN feels is America. If that is the case then be proud to be a backward, inbread, hole of a hollar! Better than the comparison for what they call home.

Actually, I did when I was down there for the Sugar Bowl. It wasn't as bad as people portray it as. I walked a few miles through a poorer part of town to visit the MLK Center and I was unimpressed with the "dangerousness" of it all.

I was not impressed with racism perpetrated upon whites or blacks there. Foolish garbage IMO.
How long is it going to be until being decent (ourselves) to one another gets to be the real american value again? That's why WV has my vote.

A lot of people out there (especially when it pertains to black/white dating) and I don't feel this way, look down on it. It doesn't seem to be so much with Asian/white, but there are members in my own family who claim it's "wrong" or "terrible" and until we get over this as a culture (and not only whites feel this way) there will continue to be race relation problems. Maybe it's because my dad's grandparents came from a country where there were no blacks this attitude was passed on to my aunts and uncles. It's much more rare in younger generations.

Oh I know, I have lost so much respect for the media after this presidential election. I do not believe anything any of the news organizations say anymore I've never been that impressed with Atlanta either. Just never saw the appeal of it all

John Stewart's parody video on WV changed the state slogan to "West Virginia, Don't Interview Us", but I thought he stopped short. It should have read "West Virginia, Don't Interview Us, Unless You Want to Know Exactly What We Think About You, Your Family, and Your Dog."

Big_Al is on a distinguished road
There is very significant racial prejudice in rural WV. Not everywhere but it is strong.
But I don't think this is the reason Obama lost here. He lost because he doesn't respect simple american people, does not understand the livestyle of americans who live outside metro areas (i.e. majority of americans), mock their traditions. I hope other states will realize it soon enough.(maybe they will have a 2d chance to do it)
Dem.party is killing itself now by having this long fight between O and C and
by strong violation of people's will in FL and MI. I don't suppot neither O not C; it's sad to see injustice. I wouldn't complain if this is a centuries-old constitutional rule (like in 2000 elections). here we have a voluntary authoritarian change of rules to eliminate a candidate. it's not fair.
The only positive side of this- it is helping McCain.

This election cycle is like a 'dog chasing its own tail....McCain may benefit, but he's a loser too..

and I agree on your reason why Obama lost here...he doesn't key with basic American people...comes off a notch or two above them...the media will groom him for November and we will feel as if he is a member of the family by then...

they just need Hillary to go away...she is costing them time and more time away from the Obama Public Relations rush.

When we get the media picture of McCain as a wheelchair bound cowboy astraddle of a bomb in the bombay, no one will vote for him...

the tar brush is now on GWB...then it will be moved over to McCain...In the end we will be the losers again...

Are you serious Kennedy?! Yeah.... TOTALLY DISAGREE THERE! Why doesn't Obama just go away? I'm beginning to lose all support for the democratic party. Given my morals haven't changed. I haven't switched over to some gun flaring, civil rights hating conservative... I think I should just create my own political party. But I'm losing hope that this is going to be resolved without angering millions of people.

Byrd, Rocky, Rahall, Moneyhand have all given their blessing to the Obama...to think he will NOT take the WV vote is just denial. Politics IS politics...Wv will be in the Demo column when the vote goes in Nov...you know better...GHO.
I admire Hillary for staying in...balls! At the end of all of this, we may certainly have a new dimension to politics...and McCain is so unpredictable...we are watching a change here...The Repubs have given up and are becoming the Dems again...
When this next election is over..you will think that issue with GWB/GORE in Florida 8 yrs ago was a mild case of indigestion...the country will be polarized into several factions...all of them angry.
