Hi I Was Looking At Some Land That Is For Sale In Thorn Hill Wv , It Is Real Close To The Old Talor School Area On Top Of The Mountain Where Our Parents Old Home Place Is , We Found The Land From Riding 4 Wheelers Around , We Have Searched All The Land Owned By People And Posted Signs On The Area Trying To Figure Out What Pocahontas County Still Owns , We Have Rebuilt A Cabin Up There On The Home Place And Would Like To Find More Info On The Surrounding Lands , This Mountain Is On The Left Side Of Thorn Hill Behind The Blacks Residents And Gills Homeplace , Any Info Or Maps Would Be Appreciatted Thanks Willis

If you go down to the Assessor's Office in the court house, they will take the time to tell you who owns the land. Since you already own land there, it will speed the process even more if you know your tax map and parcel number. They will show you where the land is on the tax map, and then you can show them the parcel you are interested in. They will even provide you with the owners name and address, as this is all public information. Hope this helps.
