I have heard that said as well........and, certain Asians catch flak (Japanese and Chinese in particular) also from the so-called 'indigenous' people there.

I've lived in Oregon, North Carolina, Florida, Hawaii and West Virginia...also have been able to travel to 14 countries so far. Only felt uncomfortable in Hawaii and Canada.
Those were the only places...felt a resentment...in Canada I was only passing through...in Hawaii, I lived there for 3 years...felt it distinctly.

After living in Los Angeles for many years, I am quite sure that WV is not more racist. Many nationalities and cultures are way more racist than the average white American. But, out there on the tail of that curve, are some pretty racist folks. Some of them are in my family. Some are probably in yours, too. :+)

Yeah, WV is not in the midwest. It is in the Mid-Atlantic region, or the south geographically because most of the state is under the Mason-Dixon line. As WVUPharm said, the media loves to find the most backwards people here and exploit them for their stories. WV is no more racist than inner city Detroit or Atlanta

Yes whites face discrimination in HI. We lived there for 3 years in the early 80's and I must admit it was a tremendous growth experience/eye opener for me. Being from WV, and growing up from the age of 10 in NE OH, I faced my share of nasty humor about being from WV. This was nothing compared to what we faced as “howlie*” (white person) in HI. There are beaches that we were advised to stay away from as they were considered “local” only! I had young white children with sun bleached white blond hair and faced many nasty comments, felt fear for them and myself. I am in no way a racist, however until I can REALLY learn more about the changes Oboma thinks he can make as our president, he will not get my vote.

I live in LA and I have some friends who happen to live in WV. I'm not racist, I've got friends of different races. So you're saying LA is more racist then WV??

Well,Hillary won overwhelmingly in KY and PA as well, so WV is no more racist than those states. Sadly, racism exists everywhere. Also, I think Hillary was more a "known" person and Obama wasn't,which may be why a lot of Democrats felt more comfortable with her. I was surprised to hear Hawaii is racist (never been there). I had never heard that before.

Depends on where a person is in LA....you know what I mean...and I don't think I could compare us to inner city Detroit or Atlanta, DC or St. Louis...some of those areas are like combat zones...We are just to small.

Let me know when you come up with a measurement for racism.
It's ridiculous to think that a small number of people who happen to be in a YouTube video can be used to prove anything.
And to answer the question in the title: No, West Virginia is not the most racist state in the midwest.
