Morgantown, WV: Suncrest Village Luxury Condos
Just married and need to sell my condo. Near everything and still quite. Pool, fitness center and all granite/stainless upgrades. Currently rented but I need to sell. 1 Bedroom. Motivated.

We need to sell it by March 5 09. As long as we sell within two years of our wedding date then we can avoid capital gains. What time frame were you looking? BTW - I graduated from WVUSOP in 1999. I take it you did or will be?

Nah, I'm not looking. I meant it's too early in the sense that all the kids and their rich parents will be coming around come August to buy up all the living spaces close to the school. But being that you have some time, I suspect if it lasts until then you'll find someone around that time. And, yes, I'm a WVU pharmacy alum, too.

Thanks for encouraging info. I ran across this site today....I have noticed that you have posted on this site numerous times. Do you think this is the way to advertise or is there a better way to reach the students?

I would try here and maybe the sports sites like bluegoldnews.com where thousands go ever day to read about the football team. Craigslist is a good idea, too. Offline, I'd put an ad in the Bulletin Board weekly magazine and maybe put up flyers at bulletin boards around town (at the HSC, Ruby, Krogers on Patteson, etc)

I'd also try to put an ad on MountainLair.com - Your Morgantown, WV Information Source or MountainLair.com - Community - Classifieds [Morgantown, WV]
I don't think it's too early. For both our boys, we looked and bought in late May or early June, before the kids were graduating and leaving for the summer. Last fall, we ran into an emergency and had to get my son a new place to live 2 weeks before school started. It was relatively slim pickings compared to May/June. That may work to your advantage this fall.
We had looked at Suncrest - gorgeous apartments. Are you competing against brand new 1 bedrooms at Suncrest? Are you selling for the same price as brand new ones?

PS We mainly used the Real Estate Guide to look for places. Don't know the name of it or contact info but you can pick one up all over MoTown.

Homes and Land. You have to get with a real estate agent to get in that magazine, unfortunately.

WVUPharm,
In the Charleston Sunday newspaper there is a real estate and open house guide. There are For Sale By Owner listings in it. Not sure of the cost. Does the MoTown Dominion Post also have a guide in their Sunday paper?
