It's a nice little place about 10 minutes south of Clarksburg/Bridgeport. A lot of plain country folks, some professionals that work in town, some nice homes, older homes, mobiles.. All in all I'd say pretty nice.

I looked at a house near Lost Creek and Jane Lew, bordering the West Fork River in October 07; nice 1950's brick rancher.. It was too close to the flood plain for my tastes.

I'm not to sure about the schools, but honestly I wouldn't let that be a detriment to your search. Some people like them, some people don't, but fact of the matter is all schools produce performers and some not-so-good kids.

If had to move, Lost Creek would be way up high on my list of areas again.

Lost Creek is a great choice...lot's of nice big homes there...just a curvy country road that never seems to end...on the other side of the area is the Taylor County corner with some 2 acre building lots for $40,000. Forget the guys name...near 4-T Rodeo Arena...off Rt 73 near Saltwell...Corbin Branch Road...knew it would come eventually...guys name, Ernie VanGilder.

Corbin Branch is a very nice area. Very pastoral. Looked out there too.

It's a nice area and close enough to Clarksburg for conveniences but not too close. Also, about 1 hour from Morgantown with all the college town has to offer. It's WVU - if your hubby is a college football fan he will have heard of WVU. About 2 hours from Pittsburgh, Pa.
