How low is the inside of the cave? That could be a cool day trip.

I was never in the cave because I have 2 kids that are too small to walk the caves. One day I'd love to venture in it.

The Delmonte hotel in Elkins. Your choice of 4 outhouses; Men, Women, Those that ain't sure what they are and a large one for sheep lovers.
This town sure knows how to celebrate the 4th of July by stenuously planting two US flags. Okay, there was a very good car show 6 blocks from this site.

stone river at Bemis. Should be a great trout stream, we'll know next spring.
Somewhere between Beverly & Bemis. We plan a return trip to this spot when the leaves change.

are you old enough to remember the bread billboard by the bridge in downtown Elkins? I think there was a girl swinging on it. Musta been there for 20+ years, another landmark destroyed.

I don't remember it... hmm I'm 22 years old, so it may have been around when I was younger or something and just never noticed it. But your pictures of Bemis, wow! During the summer months we have our Sunday family dinners at our house up there. My grandpa also owns the store/bar there. They call the road between Bemis and Beverly "the old county road" with the "switchbacks".

Hey, I've been on that road twice. It's gets a little scary at some parts, lol. But the views are beautiful in some spots. And the rock cliffs, gorgeous.
