Snorpus, I totally hear you on that. My husband and I want to buy up in Tucker County (we're currently renting in Beverly which is Randolph Cty). But Canaan is very expensive, although there are a few farms off of Rt. 72 in DryFork area (technically they call it the DryFork District I think) that vary so much in price, one going for $26,000/acre, another going for $1,000/acre. I told my husband the whole Dryfork area is just as beautiful, including Bonner Mountain Rd and Laneville Rd. I'd even go as far as Job, or settling somewhere on Middle Mountain. The whole region is beautiful, why pay more when you can get more land for less per acre in an area just as pretty?

From what I've seen in Pocohontas Cty, it's very pretty. I've been to Seneca Rocks and the caverns, but that is as far as my travels in that county.

LTM,

You're right, just about anywhere in Tucker, Randolph, and Pocahontas counties is very pretty. The Parsons/Hendricks area is another area you should look at, if you haven't already. I imagine the prices around Canaan have run up in expectation of Corridor H moving forward again.

Our property is about as far south in Pocahontas County as you can get, south of Hillsboro on the way up Droop Mountain.
