House, condo, or townhouse? Price range? How long to rent?
Contact AnnaMarieStephens@howardhanna.com
She has listing in Greystone and also has the pipeline to developers in the area. Not sure if the developers are just selling or also renting townhouses, etc. She also may know of rental houses.
There are really nice condos and townhouses in Greystone in the Cheat Lake area.
Don't know if they are as big as you want. They have the condos for sale but are also renting them out. Not sure about the townhouses.

The better Realtor agencies can hook you into a virtual tour of the properties...let me warn you a 2/3 house in Morgantown will cost you an arm and a leg...2 maybe 3k a month...Uniontown, Pa...Mt. Morris, Pa and even Fairmont, Wv are close driving distances and housing there is affordable...$850 to $1200...
Morgantown decided to go condo..and have thousands...better use of the land and maximum money to the city and the county...about $1200 but near everything...bring a money making machine with you...this is the reason everyone is looking at the Bridgeport area and building new homes...the commute is workable and schools are good...
good luck...
This Morgantown market thinks it DC and NOVA...my son just rented a brand new 3 br, 2.5 bath with full basement in Colorado Springs for $1200...and C-Springs is a heck of a lot more town than Morgantown.

There is little money in rentals for realtors...they have always shied away from the slow buck dribbling in each month...rentals are everywhere with signs in the windows...you will need to travel the area you feel comfortable in and call that number...
If you have someone to field for you...church organization...lions club...potential work person in the same company...perhaps they can help you...
College is beginning and many of these are taken up by students who want peace and quiet away from campus...
Fairmont will have more properties...phone: RS Pizzatella realtors in Fairmont...304-363-1170

I'm confused when you say "these places in Fairmont or even Clarksburg" and "I went to those websites but they are for people who want to buy." -- are you referring to another thread, the links in this one?
Goto Metro Property Management - Morgantown, West Virginia: Go WebSite Live™ - this link title says MoTown but it also shows
apt. complexes in Clarksburg and Faimont and has links to them. Site says they have flexible leases so they must be for rent.
Discovered that site after had posted the one above about the apts in Greystone in MoTown. The Mountainview condos are for sale but do know they are still renting them out but renters must be aware their apt could be sold so may be a short term thing.
Don't know of any "rental" sites.
Couple other sites to search:
Welcome to Greater Bridgeport, West Virginia
Greater Clarksburg Visitors Bureau

I personally know of a great 3bdrm home in the Sabraton area (less than a 5 minute drive to downtown Morgantown) and is located in a great neighborhood. The house is currently vacant. It is on the market for rent or sale right now. If you are interested, I could point you in the right direction. If not, good luck!

Colorado Springs might be a bigger town than Morgantown, so is Cleveland. But, they do not have more people per square foot than Morgantown, and property is not as much in demand. There is a reason Morgantown is expensive. It is a very desirable place to be. That is for lots of reasons, even if Pikes Peak is not right out of town.
I will agree that Clarksburg and Fairmont are also desirable places to be, but especially in Fairmont's case are not in as much demand as Morgantown. And, one of the reasons those other towns are in demand is because they are close to Morgantown. It's a tradeoff. You can get a less expensive place in Clarksburg or Fairmont, but you also are not "in Morgantown". Thus, you're further away from the cultural and athletic venues and some of the resources you find in The University City.

How soon are you needing a place? We may have a 3 bedroom trailer in the Cheat Lake area avail. soon and it will be $600 a month and is in great shape.
