Blenko Festival of Glass
For those of you who collect glass, the Blenko Glass company in Milton (just outside of Huntington) is having their first Blenko Festival of Glass at their factory this year. Blenko makes some great glass pieces and you've probably seen their work and not known it. They hand make the glass window panes for the White House, they supply many of the Cathedrals in Europe with glass pieces for their stained glass windows and they also make many of the glass awards such as the CMA's etc. Very neat place and this is a new event that they plan to do annually. Just wanted to put this out there for those that didn't know about it.

It's a neat place to visit. Make sure that you try to go during the week as you can actually watch them blow glass and tour the factory. They don't offer that on the weekends.

Anybody near the Buckhannon area can take the tour at Hinkles...little kiln on the mountain...guests always welcomed...hinklesglass.com...see the site...tour the studio and watch the glass be crafted...just wonderful

Love the Blenko
My family is from St. Albans and I adore Blenko, much to my husband's chagrin!
Many pieces tucked in and around our home, I love it when someone comes in and recognizes it!
We always get to the Visitor's Center whenever we're back!
