I think you will find that Bridgeport -- my sister and her family have lived there since 1989 and have never had any drug problems. There is no major meth problem in the Clarksburg / Bridgeport areas.....I see and hear more meth problems in one episode of Dog the Bounty Hunter, on tv, from Hawaii, than from Clarksburg / Bridgeport or Harrison County WV....in a year. Pittsburgh (home of the World Champion Steelers and now the Stanley Cup Champion Penguins) is 100 miles north (just under 2 hours) -- Baltimore / Washington about 240 miles (3 hrs, 45 mins or so) miles to the east. Both Ocean City and Virginia Beach are 400 miles away.

Living in Clarksburg all my life, there is less crime than most towns of similar sizes. Clarksburg - 21000 Bridgeport about 7000 are both in the county of Harrison -- total population of the county about 77,000.

don't let the stereotypes of WV and their people scare you away. Take care.
