Greenbrier County is beautiful and Lewisburg is charming. It's the largest town in the close vacinity and it's not very large. If I was moving to the area, I would move to Lewisburg and not one of the surrounding communities (no offense meant to anyone in the smaller towns near Lewisburg).

I don't know the statistical facts but my impression of Greenbrier County schools is that they are good. These sites may help some:
Greenbrier County Schools Home
Greenbrier County Education (broken link)

There's a boarding school for girls - know nothing about it - http://www.greenbrieracademy.com/

Know nothing about this site but they may be able to answer questions about how kids with Downs Syndrome are accepted in the community:

You may also want to contact ResCare in Lewisburg with any questions or concerns.

As to your concerns, are there any other chefs at The Greenbrier that you can call and ask? Also, if possible, you should come for a visit.

mdm5 is on a distinguished road
Thank you very much for all the links to these websites...I really appreciate it and will check them all out. Yes I had heard from someone who lives there that Lewisburg is a great town with blue ribbons schools.
My husband will definitively ask around when he gets there,he may even get a little time off to visit the area too.
Thanks !

Wait a minute, did you say you are part French? Now that could be a problem, we have to draw the line someplace!!

I was thinking about the earlier post about the media coming here during the primaries and finding the rawest specimens they could find, to answer questions about Obama as president. In fairness, I think it is possible to find cretins out there who are living in the '50s. (the 1850s) But I rarely see that. However, no place is 100% safe.

Thanks, wanted to get into that but I was already lengthy on laundry drying mechanisms . . and no offense to those folks in the video, but if they would've interviewed somebody above an IQ of 90, they would've punched holes in their propagandist attempt on why people aren't voting for Obama --unanswered questions. Listening to this media cult talk nonsense about how someone "get's it", sounds like a rehash of EST pshyco babble.

Say, didn't we fight a war with the French? You're right, draw the line, or the next thing you know we'll have someone occupying the White House who is a direct decendent of the crown of England.
