The General Lewis Inn is nice and the history behind it makes it an even cooler place to stay. It also puts you in walking distance of all of the neat antique shops and sites in Lewisburg. Hope this helps!

Why not stay at the "Greenbrier"? Don't be cheap.

Don't know where to tell you to stay, but we toured the Bunker about 6 years ago and it was really interesting. Can't believe that it was hidden there and if you know where to look while you are in the hotel, you can actually tell where it is. Amazing no one ever knew.

The Greenbrier (or The Greenbrier Resort) would have a heart attack if you called it the Greenbrier Inn. (The Greenbrier Inn is actually in Durbin).
Goto Sleep | Greenbrier County, West Virginia for hotels/B&B/etc.
Staying at The Greenbrier is a real treat, albeit a very expensive one. Other places I would stay in the area are the General Lewis Inn, the Hampton Inn, and I believe the Holiday Inn Express has just opened (all mentioned are in Lewisburg).

There's also a Day's Inn, on US-219, just north of I-64 in Lewisburg.

If you enjoy reading mysteries, you might try Rex Stout's "Too Many Cooks", which takes place at the "Kanawha Spa" in West Virginia in the 1930's. I'm very sad that the Nero Wolfe series on A&E a few years ago didn't get around to dramatizing the book.

This was a national secret until the Clinton's spilled the beans. You can't trust Bill and Hillary to keep a secret.

Naw, DK, they just come over and take the $30 tour.
I hear that they're building a super-secret replacement for the Greenbriar bunker... gonna put it in Mobley, since nobody can find Mobley.
