Can anyone describe what Athens , W.Va is today? I went to college at Concord in the early, early 70's and was just wondering what the old place is like. I can only imagine.
Curious

Default Athens

Athens hasn't changed much. There are two banks, a CVS, the Deli-Mart, Poff's garage, and a new coffeehouse. They are adding buildings at Concord and there is more housing now.

But it's still a small town where everyone knows everyone else.

Thanks for the Athens update. It sounds as quaint as it was then. That small town friendlt feel it was attracted me and many others, not to mention the quality education.
Thanks for the info.

Well it sounds like a nice small town to me. They probably only need two cops because they have a very low crime rate in Athens.

I didn't know that. I never saw the one cop. Now that there are two, maybe I'll see one of them somewhere. LOL.
