Default I less than 3 WV!! <3

Hi there, I am moving to WV in less than 2 weeks, just wondering if anyone knew of any websites with apartments for rent, local to St.Albans/Winfield and Nitro area?

Also, if anyone knows where the best place to start looking for jobs is? Is there such a thing as claiming unemployment, as I am from the UK and am unsure of how to start seeking work!!

ANY info is greatly accepted and appreciated!!

THANK YOU!!

if you were just asking about a rental then this message would belong in the Classified section but you have asked about some other things as well. Look up a newspaper for the town you are interested in. We really don't want a lot of links here.
I don't believe you can get unemployment when you have no work history in this country.

Thanks Waterlily, I know I should be able to figure things out when I get over...just kinda freaking out a bit that I don't have a definite course of action regarding getting a job. I used to work for the Civil Service in the 'JobCentre', a place where you go to search a database of all nationwide jobs. I just wondered if there is such a place in Charleston or WV anywhere? I know that I'm a little wary about recruitment agencies and most people recommend 'word of mouth'?

Thanks again Ü

Here are the local papers for this area. They have rent and classified you just have to join for free. here are the links

www.wvgazette.com and www.dailymail.com

Good luck. They will have postings for St.Albans apt also.

You could try our local Jobcore office here in charleston once you get here they can help you take the civil service test etc in order to help you get a job.

Thanks so much Shedav!

It's daunting to go the whole way to a new country, without much set in sand nevermind stone regarding a job/place to rent! I need to get a car sorted too. That jobcore sounds like it's worth a look...is it a government funded place? Gonna do some research into that!!
Many thanks!
