What, ... you are some kind of expert? From my position, you are the one who knows very little. As I said, I DO live there. I live both places. I didn't take "jab" at Huntington. Would you actually live in downtown Huntington (other than at Ritter Park)? You'd have to be a self flagilator to do so. I agreed with you that Huntington is probably the place for her, since it seem to have the lifestyle she for which she is looking.
I'll take a look at your messages.

When it comes to things about Huntington, I know more than the average person.

So now you live in Huntington? Because when I say here or in the state, that means Huntington or WV. And you admitted that your primary residence is CT. That's what I meant when I said you know little of what you're talking about. You know little of the goings on in Huntington.

So calling it backward and saying that downtown gets lively at night and not in ways most would find interesting isn't a jab? Right. And if I were the type of person who didn't love having a yard, yes I'd live downtown. In a heart beat. There are some very nice condos downtown and they keep adding more. With Pullman, all of the restaurants, the civic center, the Keith Albee and all of the shops within walking distance, it would be an awesome place to live. But again, I like a yard and I can walk downtown in about 10 minutes from where I live now anyway. Maybe when I get older though.

Is there any demand at all for electrical engineers/computer engineers in the Huntington area? I'm definately NOT in what people call IT but traditional computer interfacing engineering or what I call "software talking to hardware" development. Have a potential move in 2009 but would like to know what is in that area. Thanks

With Marshall University and its future in research along with expansions in engineering and biotech, 2 large and expanding hospitals, a VA hospital, the recently announced expansion of Verizon and some industry still here, I'd say yes, there is a need for what you do. Now I'm not in this field and haven't researched it, but I imagine you'd do quite well here. Here are some links that may have some good contacts for you and what you are doing. Hope this helps.
