thank you so much for all the info vec101. we are a bit overwhelmed at the moment as we weren't expecting the transfer to happen so quickly. now, we are not sure if it would be better to get an apartment or house. has the housing market been rising/booming recently in the area? it has turned from just talking about moving there to actually moving there. there are so many thought's going through our head's at the moment from selling our home to buying one out there, apartments, area's, school's etc. now, we aren't sure what move/direction to take so it will not be the wrong one for our son. We truly appreciate your research and help thus far and my wife would like to thank you for the pre-school/daycare links you posted in her thread about that. at least my being out there before they can join me will give me a chance to check out the area's that not only you suggested, but others we have looked at online.

It happened a little faster than I anticipated, but at least I will get a chance to check out the different areas while I'm working and after work thanks to my GPS I'm bringing.
You know if you live in or around Poca your children could go to Poca High School and be the Poca Dots. Not even joking. It was on MTV a few years ago.

Tint laws: Ziebart International :: Window Tint
International Window Film Association (http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Consumer_Info/auto_statelaws.html - broken link)

Concrete roads as opposed to, what, asphalt?
Maybe this is the answer: CPAM - Concrete VS. Asphalt
