Default Grant Writer for hire? Bluefield area?

Hey, being retired, but still active with various companies. Look Bluefield is one of my many vacation spots. Is there anyone that has qualifications to seek funding from foundations? In other words any person or persons out there that understands and knows how to write a grant?

I think that given the right talent that we could help bring some change to this area. If your interested drop me a PM. Does this site have Personal messages? Or heck just reply.

Brian

This needs to be in the Bluefield area.

Brian, try calling the local Family Resource Network and see if they have someone who writes grants. I've written plenty but I'm to far away. It's actually pretty easy to write grants. I took a week long course several years ago and managed to pull in over 500,000 in my county in over 5 years. It's probably harder to get grants now that it was back then, before 9/11.

I'll give that a try. I just thought that someone local would want a great employment package.

Brian, I am currently taking a grant writing course and am writing a grant for a non-profit in the Easton, Pa area. I am currently looking for work - did you happen to find someone or are you still looking?

My cousing is a grant writer. The two of us have been toying with the idea of founding a charity. Let me know what your thinking.
