I saw the movie but am unclear as to what the "men in black" were supposed to be. What were they? Anyone know?

That is what some say but have read several articles with opinions that don't agree with that. I guess unless you saw Mothman for yourself - you can't really state what it is or may be. From what I read, those who saw Mothman weren't buying the crane explanation.

I don't know what UFO's are - govt experimental craft or whatever, but do believe they exist (whatever they are). Really convinced me when a lot of people, including police, saw them one night near the town where I grew up. Cops willing to get on a legit major network news show and talk about following the craft holds a lot of water for me.

If you take eyewitnesses at their word, the account of the Mothman following on the bumper of a speeding car, rules out the possibility of it being mistaken identity of a large bird.

And..

Quote:
The time was 1966 in Point Pleasant, W.Va., and something very strange was happening. More than 100 people reported seeing a 9-foot-tall, black, winged creature with glowing red eyes.
And..

Quote:
In another reported sighting, 4 people riding in a car spotted the same creature standing near the door of an abandoned factory. Moments later they saw it again on a hill near the road they were traveling on. They watched as the creature spread it's wings and rose in the air and flew towards their vehicle. They sped away reaching speeds nearing 100 mph and the creature stayed with them for some distance then flew away. They noticed that the creature did not flap it's wings when flying but yet could fly at great speed.

When all other possibilities are eliminated, then what remains, however improbable, must be true.
