Passover is near and it's time for real live coke/pepsi. I'm guessing that it will be impossible to get it in Charleston but i'm hoping. Anybody know if it will come here?
Charleston has changed too much since I grew up there so I wouldn't know where to get it now, but here in Atlanta, you can usually find them at Jewish deli/stores. Maybe an International market, etc. So if there are currently any Jewish-owned stores in Charleston, that would probably be the place to look.
I'm Jewish also and I live in Huntington. All I can say is GOOD LUCK finding anything Kosher in this state. I'm so aggravated right now. We are honestly looking at ATL to relocate for jobs, etc... There are not enough jobs here. My hubby and I are tired of working 2 dead end jobs to live pay check to paycheck. BUT I RAMBLE. There is a Kosher hotline where you can order kosher food items and have them shipped to your home. Give that a try??
Kosher?...just a short drive to Pittsburg to stock up...and when we are in DC...almost all the grocerys have several isles. Matzo!
I have to tell this...Saltine crackers? Just Matzo with a little salt... one of the gifts to the world.
Several years ago my uncle (a chef) did some cooking with a lady who was native russian.
His family foods were Jewish and of course her's were Russian. Both cooked the same foods...had different names for the dishes...we laughed but dined happily with their coincidenses.
Man, Pittsburgh is like a 7 hour drive for us. There is NO WAY I would drive all that way when I can order stuff from a hotline to be shipped to me. Last time I went to Pittsburgh, it turned into a 2 day trip. ugh.

Are there a good many kosher deli's and stores in ATL? I know that obviously there are some, but are they hard to find? My DH and I are looking to possibly relocate to ATL next year (jobs and such) and the Jewish population is one of the things that attracted us. I feel like an outcast here in WV sometimes. Just wondering!!!
