Default Re-locating to Southern WV in the Fall and looking for land in the Pineville,WV (Wyoming County) area?

My family and I are re-locating from ohio and are looking for some land to build a home on in the Pineville,WV (THROUGHOUT WYOMING/MERCER COUNTIES). We are having a hard time finding any acreage and help or ideas? Thanks

Don't laugh, but you may want to travel down to the area, stay for a couple/few days, and just ask around at the local stores, etc. Sometimes people have land they really aren't looking to sell (or don't care if they sell or not so they won't put it on the market) -- but if someone is interested they may become interested in selling.

Have had experience with this so it's really not just a crazy idea.

Have you tried a realtor who covers the area, you didn't mention if you had talked to one, are looking for one, etc.
