Depends on where in Hedgesville. It's been pretty built up over the last 10 years, and congestion on Rt. 9 can be a bear. Lot's of cookie-cutter sub-divisions permeate close to Rt.9.
However- if you get off the beaten path there are a lot of houses on some larger parcels (like over an acre or so). I've got a lot of friends that live in Hedgesville, but not in the cookie cutter subdivisions.
In any event, shopping is fairly close by either in Hedgesville or Martinsburg. Proximity to US 81 is close too.
