With the Recession behind us and America climbing out of the absymal Political Pit/Change of November, Spring is here and travel is on the mind.

Any special places to visit?

Cuba?

Canada for potatoes without the gravy?

Texas? While it's still one of the states.

-A one or two day trip to State College in May, for #2 son's receipt of a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering.
-Probably a couple of long weekends at Blackwater Falls in late July. My GF will be busy in early summer with her grandson's AAU baseball games in Florida.
-Maybe a short trip to Wetzel Co. to get together with my Class of '67 classmates.

I'm taking classes all summer I'm taking a summer class every session so I basically get 3 long weekends and a week off in the middle of August. I'm still planing on hitting up some amusement parks though, maybe squeeze in a miniature beach trip to Virginia Beach or something.

I just got back Wednesday from my trip to Colorado.

I'm leaving the 3rd week in May to go to Arizona to meet up with a bunch of old high school friends. We are going to do some sightseeing around the state of AZ for a week, then renting a 15 passenger van, and driving to San Diego for a wedding at Coronado Beach.

I was just at Garden of the God's in Colorado Springs on Easter Sunday, it was beautiful with all the snow on the red rocks. I couldn't even see Pikes Peak on Sunday because of all the cloud and fog. But i could see it from South Denver on Monday, but it's just not the same from that far away.

I'm wonderin' if any hippies are pannin' for gold like they are in California? We will see!

Colorado is ITSELF!

Anybody been to Nova Scotia for crab and lobster? Been on my list for a long time. Do those Scots have good beer in Halifax.

If you want some local Nova Scotia lobster - drive around the island from Halifax to Peggy's Cove a local fishing village with a lobster pound restaurant.
