Not much. The CDC has already stepped in and distributors are being told to divert resources of Tamiflu to hospitals. My hospital got a shipment of 85 doses for the small town it is in today. It's in our narcotics vault. And when this all blows over (and right now I'm guessing it will), we will just send it back for credit and it'll all go back to normal.

Can you get a mask over there? If you are wearing one, at least people will think maybe you are sick and stay away from you as much as they can! Maybe you are better off staying where you are?
David, you want to talk about crooks in government? 1915 was a long time ago but we can come up with a very looooog list after that. I'm not buying smithfield stock, but I am guarding our pig bertha, like a hawk!
I just read an article about the 1918 flu and the impact it had on WV. I'll see if I can get the link back.

I haven't seen anywhere where I could purchase one of those masks, I'm going shopping today for the travel necessities like contact solution, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, etc. I will look to see if I can get one at the Apteka (Pharmacy), or perhaps the airport will have them??? I was thinking about getting some of that Airborne stuff, but I doubt they have it over.
Trust me, I'm not better staying here ha ha. I miss AMERICA!!! ha ha I miss my car, my phone, my friends, my pets, being able to understand the people. 3 months is a long time for a tourist in Poland.
Gaurd poor Bertha. I hope this doesn't give pigs a bad rep, poor things.
The 1918 flu epidemic in WV is actually part of the reason I'm alive today. My great grandfather Thompson was married with children then, and his wife became ill and passed away. Simultaneously my great grandmother was married to another man and had children and her husband also passed away from the flu. So somehow my great grandparents met and then had more children together. There were over 21 kids as full, half, and step siblings.

Tommorow I will find that link about the 1918 pandemic. Your families' history sound so much like what I read!
I'll tell Berth that you too, don't want pigs to get a bad rep. She'll appreciate it!

[quote=David Kennedy;8576441]GHO: Better get a good mask and wear it in inside the plane...the air you breathe is being re-cycled by everyone.
The big air vent to avoid is directly in front of the first seat on the starboard side of the craft.
How is it that you know this stuff? lol.

It was said in a previous post:
Populations can be controled through mass events...this one passive, ak: Swine Flu...(or a Flu that resembles a similar sickness in hogs)
Precursors were the movies...of mass hysteria to train us...'the Day After, ect.
When one of the towel-heads pulls the trigger on us, in the name of Allah, we wil be ready to let the government handle it...What will they do? ...hand us a pamplet.
They will get out of Dodge (to the Greenbrier) and let us live on that stored food and supplies we have put away...
What this event will really do is cost a lot of people and businesses A LOT OF MONEY! Just the wrong thing to do to stimulate any economy at this time...
Who's making the money with this Flu EVENT? That's the smoking gun.
It's almost like Al Gore is in the Disease Control business now! Who is pushing this event?

I think this is going to be the big one. A pandemic has now become inevitable.
The problem with viruses is that they mutate. Right now, this flu isn't particularly deadly but remember in 1913, there was an outbreak of a mild flu followed by the deadly pandemic.
I think that being prepared is prudent. We are going to lose millions of dollars when everyone is home sick.
Tamiflu is not the cure all everyone thinks it is either.
Covering your cough and washing your hands is not going to stop this flu from spreading. As a health care worker, I wash my hands constantly, wear a face mask when dealing with infectious diseases and I STILL got the flu which was followed by pneumonia. And I had a flu shot.
Of course, I am exposed to more bugs than the average person.
But I don't think at this point they can contain this anymore.
