Default Relocating to Charleston, WV...Advice please.

My family and I are relocating to the Charleston, WV area. I would appreciate any advice for helping us choose a location to purchase a home. Our main interests are:
1. Under 250k
2. 5+ acres
3. Within 45 minutes to downtown
4. Good schools
5. Close to a grocery store

Jackson County. Fairplain/Ripley/Evans/Kenna are all within 30-40 minutes from downtown Charleston. This area is still rural yet a bedroom community to Charleston and Parkersburg. The cost of living is still low, and Ripley has all the necessities as far as services/food/shopping. You can get a nice plot of land and good clean air. Further west into Jackson County you will see the landscape change and have more breaks in between the hills, this is the MOV (Mid-Ohio Vally) river basin. Lot's of flat, fertile land in places.
