Those seem like very bizarre and different choices of states. How in the world did you narrow it down to those two? Not bad, mind you, just interesting.

armychicmkm is on a distinguished road
We're from Michigan and we're trying to get closer to family. Hubby wants small town I want something biggish (20,000+) I can commute to. He's a Yooper and I'm from Detroit - we both have a (probably undeserved) hatred for Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. We both want to be back in the land of trees and mountains or at the very least big hills. He wants north of the Mason-Dixon but will settle for a border state (climate reason mostly). I want south of the Mason-Dixon (also mostly climate reasons) but will settle for a border state. WV sounds pretty close to perfect, huh?

Wisconsin we've both spent a lot of time in and like it mostly ok.
