Default mineral wells

anyone have thoughts about living in mineral wells vs parkersburg? i did find a rental there - and the rental guy told me that it was 4.5 minutes from there (near the golf course) to the hospital in parkersburg - does that sound right?

the rental was Fox Run condos, anyone have any experience with them?

thanks!!

I don't know anything about the condos.

Basically there would be zero difference living in Mineral Wells or Parkersburg.

I would say between 5 and 10 minutes from Mineral Wells to downtown Parkersburg.

4.5 minutes to the hospital doesn't sound right.

Mineral Wells has lot's of shopping and dining options these days, i suppose you would be happy there. It really depends on what your interests are.

It will take you at least 15 minutes to get to Camden-Clark I would think....a tiny shade longer to get to St Joe's.

My only regret about moving to WV is that the seller didn't show up to closing for a property we wanted to buy on Sam's Creek Rd in Mineral Wells. So beautiful.

We ended up in an awesome spot in St Albans so it worked out ok, I just pine for what might have been!

Should be between 10-15 minutes to CCMH once you know the shortest route, St. Joe is just down the street from CCMH.

I don't really know of a lot of shopping in Mineral Wells, a 7-11, drug store, hot dog shop, and a pizza shop, and I believe the grocery is IGA. Out by the interstate, Cracker Barrel, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Mc D's, and three gas stations, then on the access road for the two truck stops there's the 50s Cafe. Or is it the 60s Cafe? But it's a short hop over the hill to Pettyville to Walmart etc.

If Fox Run is where I think it is, it should be fairly quiet with easy access, and in close proximity to the golf course. It should have a suburban or maybe even a rural feel. There used to be a nice restaurant close to the course, not sure if it's still there or not.

Traffic gets bad out there when the Fair is happening one week a year, or if there's a big race at the track, but I believe the racetrack may be covered in a healthy growth of hay, naturally reverting back to the dairy farm it once was.
