Ain't nobody going hungry up my holler, in fact some (most) could stand to eat less. Appreciate the sentiment but this isn't Zimbabwe.

Go to WalMart on the 2d, 3d each month....government check days. It's very crowded all day long by people buying chips, beer and different kinds of greese. They have way more 1000 a months, food stamps, free medical care and don't give a damn about their health, their kids' health and don't care at all. Many of them never worked. Isn't it nonsence- to be poor and "hungry" and overweight at the same time?

Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day...
Teach a man how to fish, and he'll feed himself for a lifetime.
I try to buy WV products whenever I can. Armstrong/Bruce flooring, Fiestaware, Fenton, stuff from Tamarack...
Just got an email from a Fenton dealer. The Christmas 2009 items are now available for pre-order; it was nice to see that there are several pieces this year in the Canaan Valley series, which is my favorite. (I'm not holding out any hope that there will ever be a Fishing Creek series )

Kook Funny you mention-- I was in the Kmart plaza looking for landscaping materials when I got approached by a sob story down on his luck out of gas. According to the story he just got back from Iraq, an alleged 23yr vet of the marines, on his way back to Indiana with his two teen aged boys in his dodge caravan. Seems he lost his billfold at the last truck stop and his family wasn't answering his cell phone calls.
I've never seen an active duty marine with such a large beer gut that wasn't dishonorably discharged for being overweight. I've also never seen a marine beg in my life. He complained of WV hospitality when I directed him to any church on any corner of Charleston. Folks straying out of Indiana these days are mighty odd, and fake vets... he nearly died on the spot when I smiled wide and told him I was a vet. I also explained how WV had enough grifters passing through that they likely weren't going to have all that much patience for BS'rs. Miracle of miracles there was gas in the tank after all because he moved along. Let us give thanks & praise.

A Marine begging? Get serious! They only thing I ever heard a Marine beg for was 'more ammo!
You should have asked the police to check him out for impersonating an American. Semper Paratus!

DK, WalMarts around here don't carry Fiesta, let me know if the one in Mobley has any in stock.
They should be putting up the decorations for the 4th of July parade in Mobley pretty soon.

LOL!! There are more fat asses per capita in wv than any other state in the US. Seriously, help someone in a state that will appreciate the aid. WV is a welfare, backwards area that expects aid.
