Any lawyers or politicians out there?
This is in the Cap & Trade bill. The bill establishes a National Building Code.
Darn, methinks I need to get my renovation on my Chas house done FAST from reading over things in the bill!!!

Quote:
4) The term `tree-siting guidelines' means a comprehensive list of science-based measurements outlining the species and minimum distance required between trees planted pursuant to this section, in addition to the minimum required distance to be maintained between such trees and--

(B) air conditioning units;
(C) driveways and walkways;
(D) property fences;
(E) preexisting utility infrastructure;
(F) septic systems;
(G) swimming pools; and
(H) other infrastructure as deemed appropriate.

Does this mean they tell us where we have trees in our yards? Does it just apply to power companies? Or what?

Hmmmmm....
  • (3) LACK OF NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION- If qualified nonprofit or not-for-profit tree planting organizations do not exist or operate within areas served by retail power providers applying for assistance under this section, the requirements of this section shall apply to binding legal agreements entered into by such retail power providers and one of the following entities:

Read the whole section. Section 205. It isn't long.

Your answer is in there.

Come on now. You guys are claiming to know FOR SURE this devilish piece of legislation is destined to be the downfall of our civilization. And you can't figure out if section 205 applies to you planting trees in your yard?

If you can see through the propaganda of totalitarianism in the Islamic Republic of Iran, that's a first step towards seeing the occupants of power in this country for who they are. The sheer quantity of propaganda we are subjected to is staggering, and serves its purpose, because we have in power the same ilk this country fought independence from.

Anybody who thinks the Federal Government represents them as a citizen is delusional, as are those people in Iran who "thought" their government represented them. The Federal Government has armed itself to the teeth in weaponry and law against the citizen, declaring the citizen an enemy, and has systematically destroyed wealth in this country to create a slave-class of worker.

The perks to organized crime with cap & taxpayers expense, woke up a few, but what does is it take to wake up more? I don't know, "morality police", like Iran has?
H.R. 675: Building Obama’s Civilian National Security Force
H.R. 675: To amend title 10, United States Code, to provide police officers, criminal investigators, and... (GovTrack.us)

Sadly, there are lot of people on board for this gestapo crap.

The Department of Defense calls protestors low-level terrorists, and the Department of Homeland Security basically said in its unclassified report that veterans and anybody who disagrees with political corruption is a potential domestic terrorists. Why the Fraternal Order of Police supports H.R. 675, I don't know. I would think, a State Police, Highway Patrol, Sheriff, and local law enforcement, etc., would be all for State sovereignty, rather than allowing the Federal Government to dictate to them, their job. Who knows, maybe they too are prostitutes, puppets of foreign interests. We'll see.

The first rule of power is to stay in power.

To refute the sniper in the other post, the majority of politicians who signed this, did so without reading it.

They once again lay the onus of responsibility at the feet of people who are not paid anything to read law, the average citizen, and I guess that's why they gave themselves a deserving 8% raise, as they are effective delegators of responsibility.

At a glance, besides telling you what tree species and where it will be planted based on their magic science, it looks like the Federal Government will commit to paying for half a tree (you are to be taxed for it), and most likely, the other half will be paid by State government or a local municipality (more tax). So even without getting into the bureaucracy created for this one section (you are to be taxed for that too), the tree and subsequent costs will be paid by you, the taxpayer.

So in summary, Local municipality officials, State government officials, and Federal government officials, who have made kickbacks on destroying forests and wetlands in the past, will have the opportunity to make kickbacks on restoring these same forests and wetlands while creating more bureaucracy in the process.

Am I interpreting this correctly?

  • (g) Cost-share Program-
    • (1) FEDERAL SHARE- The Federal share of support for projects funded under this section shall not exceed 50 percent of the cost of such project and shall be provided on a matching basis.
    • (2) NON-FEDERAL SHARE- The non-Federal share of such costs may be paid or contributed by any governmental or nongovernmental entity other than from funds derived directly or indirectly from an agency or instrumentality of the United States.
The Federal Government has no money, State Government has no money, County and City (local muncipalities) have no money. You have money. They are sharing these costs with you.

The Federal Government allowed destruction of waterways in West Virginia by removing protection of them, and it was proved, The Army Corps of Engineers withheld information from environmental protection groups regarding waterways prior to their destruction, and now, they will be sharing these costs of cleaning them up with you?

Sigh.

Another hint.

Subsection (d) is what you want to look at.

And.........

If you think legislators read just 1% of ALL legislation that is voted on, you are vastly overestimating their dilligence. So, don't get all concerned about their lack of dillgence now.

To boil this all down into a vernacular the common people, like myself will understand...

You're saying that the 'Public Money is being used to further the interest of Planet Oriented Organized Crime in a 'Big Way...and they (the gangsters) are using it as fast as they can and if they seem to run out, they will print more until it has no value.

That everybody is involved, the Mob High Hats in and out of our country...the congressional staff who have been on their payroll for years...I suspected this Hondoras episode this week was about drug distribution and not interrupting the flow to the USA...

With every leader in the southern hemisphere being Marxist or getting on that bandwagon...we look like the 'odd man out...perhaps, Obama is a sign of the times...eh, comrade?

I'm waiting for comrade Pelosi and Reid to grant a paid national holiday to 'Che Guevara....that would be a hint to everyone.

What's even more amazing is that many in Congress even admitted they had not read the entire bill but voted on it anyhow.

The best kicker - Carole Browner was interviewed on TV and was asked if she had read the entire bill. She stammered around but admitted she had NOT read the entire thing.

Least we forget, Carole Browner is Obama's Energy Czar.
Wouldn't you think she, of all people, would have read the bill?
Then she cried "not fair" when repeatedly asked if she had read the entire thing.

Quote:
Obama energy czar Carol "Brownout" Browner admits she still hasn't read the cap-and-trade bill passed by the House on Friday night. Steve Doocy's insistence that she answer his question was "absolutely not fair," she protested, assuring viewers that she'd read "vast portions" of the legislation.
