Summersville is a great place. I have a house for rent there, send me a PM and we can chat about that.
As for what S'ville has in the way of apartments, most of the apartment complexes are for low income. Depending on what your income is you may or may not qualify. There are a few single apartments in people’s homes, over the garage type things. Get a copy of the Nicholas Chronicle, published 1x per week.
S’ville is a lovely town with nice surrounding communities. The “town” it’s self the main street area is mostly law offices, insurance companies and banks. One barber/beauty shop, dry cleaner, pharmacy, and a few restaurants make up the Main Street area. I am sure I am leaving something out, but the downtown area is very small. The major shopping is located at North Side, wall mart, fast food, car dealers, hotels, shoe stores you get the picture!
S’ville has a hospital that is going through a major growth sprit, a small airport and Summersville Lake. Built in the 60’s as flood control by the Army Corps of Engineers, but most ppl think it was built for play, and that they do! It is a beautiful lake and FULL of ppl on the weekends.
Ask you specific questions and I will try my best to answer them. We plan to retire there
