I'm going to my family reunion in August, Cabell & Wayne County. Luckily a lot of the older relatives are still able to cook, and my grandmother is very strict about how the chicken & dumplings are made. I don't know how long you are going to be in the area, but I would keep a lookout for any potluck or church suppers while you are there, check out local papers or bulletin boards.
