Well, how refreshing to see that others living in hot, humid, buggy FL are trying to move to a more slower paced, life in the mountains. I live in Jacksonville but have been trying to leave this place since I got here, but over time, being stuck in a job here and not knowing the job market there, I have settled here, but good news I have a possible job in Charleston at Chase bank and am very excited about the opportunity. I am from WV originally but never realized the beauty until I started visiting yearly. As I have children of my own, I am looking to find a place to raise them where they can experience the change of season, and have some good ole fashioned fun! Any insight into the surrounding areas of Charleston and also the age demographics I am 39 would be helpful. I know that there have to be some younger folks still left... I hope

What part are you in? It sounds great.

What part of WV are you looking into? I am trying to relocate to the Charleston area, but living a little ways out would be my preference. Florida has gotten too touristy for me, plus the landscape is pretty much the same ole thing and we won't even talk about the humidity and hurricanes. I know that WV has its share of snow and rain, but overall it is a wonderful place to be. It is a shame it has taken me so long to get back there! I am heading up there next week for a job interview and am looking into the schools. Best of luck to you all on your upcoming move. Just like with Florida, there is good and bad in everywhere you go. I think the change of seasons will be refreshing to you and your family, especially the little ones.
