Of course, the only paper you can't read for free is the Dominion Post. Morgantown has fostered this bizarre atmosphere of loving capitalism to a fault recently. The paper is freakin' stupid, however. Anyone with a subscription can share a link to the articles by simply clicking on a little picture that says "share article."
Those idiots have the most bizarre business model I've ever heard of.

WVU Pharm, you cant read the Nicholas Chronicle either unless you pay. Well you can read part of the article, but when it says "read more" and you click on that it takes you to a page to pay!

Nobody ever accused the Raeses of not knowing how to make a buck. I think the reason they can get away with it is there is such a strong demand to view the paper due to WVU athletics coverage. Most other newspapers are not in that position. I think (although I have not tried and I have an electronic subscription) you can view the classifieds without a subscription.

Same goes for Fairmont. It costs 75 cents, and it's not big enough to swat a bug with. Especially some of the beefy bugs they have around here. I swatted a spider, and he just got up, brushed himself off and gave me the finger.

Morgantown... Fairmont...Clarksburg = 3 Papers
The thing that is surprising is that there are three totally separate newspapers for Northcentral... Clarksburg, Fairmont, and Morgantown. With all the trouble print media is having these days... layoffs and the like, these three continue to prosper. One would think some kind of merger with a morning and evening edition would be logical.
