Relocating to Bridgeport/Clarksburg or Morgantown WV
Anyone have suggestions for apartment/townhomes - would like one with pool and feel of community. Not student oriented.

I think a lot would have to do with your budget, but Kennedy will respond with suggestions, I am certain. There are good residential areas between Morgantown and Fairmont that should meet your needs. Then there is the Cheat Lake area if you don't mind a slightly longer drive to Clarksburg.
Welcome to Northcentral West Virginia!

If I were coming into this area initialy, I would take an apartment in White Hall on rt 73. (I-79 exit 132)
Village at Whitehall 304-363-3323
Eateries and services close by...(Hometown Hotdogs for sure)..Shopping a little south at the Bridgeport Malls.
Rent is afforable and the quality is good.
The reason is proximity to work and a central base to check everything out. AWAY from the Morgantown hordes until a better plan can be gathered in.

Thanks
Thanks for the input, David. I've already checked The Village out and was impressed. Read some reviews that were not flattering - not well insulated - indifferent staff, etc.
Do you know anyone currently living there?
Know anything about Cheat Lake area?

I think David would agree that Cheat Lake is one of the most upscale areas in the region, and offers a nice blend of rural qualities with proximity to shopping and eateries. For one thing it sits at the base of an awesome mountain environment and is one of the closer areas to your Maryland roots.
In addition, if you like fishing/boating the lake is right there. It is not, however, cheap.

The village at White Hall is central to everything....that's it's strong point.
Reviews? 10 Bitches to every one good review...always that way.
Cheat Lake? Bring the bucks...I'd buy one if the price was right. Jump off to winter skiiing a Wisp, Nemacolin, and the others.
Everything is close...30/40 minutes..save the initial money and go for the 'right place when you see it.

Know anything about Stone Wall Gardens or Willow Green in Bridgeport? Checked online but can't find any specifics.
