Have been lurking in the forums for info. Husband has a possible job offer in Clarksburg. I would like a home on 2-10 acres for horses. Also have an elementary schooler that I would like a decent school for. It seems that West Union might be the answer? I have read that it is economically depressed but I also realized that West Union is halfway between Waverly and Clarksburg. Waverly has a great equestrian college!
Would the commute be long (timewise) for 25 miles? I guess the schools would be my number 1 priority then the land/house. Looking for info!! Any fellow riders out there? I couldn't find any organizations online for horseback trail riding (only ranches that offer it).
Basically looking for good schools, safe trail riding and small acreage.
Also looking for info on state taxes (income, sales).
