Charleston eats & sites
Hello WV City-Data people! I'll be in Charleston for a 1/2 day. What are some good restaurants to check out. Perhaps Thai, Viet, Filipino, Cuban, sandwich, Italian - but not limited to these types. What restaurants consistently make the "most favorite" lists and are good & reasonably-priced?
In which areas should I drive to get a feel for the city? What are the good online sites to get info about the city?
Thanks so much.
Lou

Italian---Leonoro's
Mexican---Rio Grande
Japanese---Habachi
And the other ethnic group eateries I wouln't recomend
Try Inta Juice, Capital Roasters, Tutor's, and or, River Rock Cafe
Good resturants include but are not limited to
First watch, Fazio's, Soho's, White Water, Bridge Road Bistro, Graziano's, Chris' Hot Dogs
Have a good time in "Charly West"

Village District is Downtown, which includes Capital St., and Summers street is neat.
The East End is cool, along Washington ST. and Virginia St.
If Your going to shop, I suggest the Charleston Town Center or South Ridge
which has all the chain box stores, and resturants.

Chin's in Kanawha City (which is part of Charleston) is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Quiet, very nice people, delicious food.

The food at the Marriott across from the Mall is excellent, IMO.
For a real local, I recommend Fazio's as well.
1/2 day is not much time to do or learn much at any location, though.
