There are 213 confirmed cases in school kids in Mercer Co. This does not include adults.
I went to the local clinic yesterday for the seasonal flu shot. The Health Dept was out.
I walked in and signed the flu shot roster, looked around the full waiting room with people hacking and sneezing and immediately went outside to wait. One man was wearing a mask. One.
After 15 minutes, I decided rather than go back in I would just wait on the Health Dept to get another shipment since seasonal flu has a while to kick in.
I called on my cell phone and told them I wasn't waiting in a room full of people who had the swine flu to get a shot to prevent the seasonal flu because the point was to avoid getting sick.
They said they had called my name 3 times and they didn't come outside to get people and if I wanted a mask they'd give me one.
So in the end, I went back in and put on a mask and got the shot.
Then I took my car for an oil change. Everyone there was sneezing and coughing.
It's definitely a pandemic here and too late for any vaccine. You're either going to get it or not.
