Thanks, JeffConn. I believe some of them are in the database, but most are not. I had to dig around a lot to find most of them. The Romney monument is rather well known as the first Confederate monument ever built, though some say the one in Cheraw, SC is the first, but I think it is a toss-up. When they dedicated the Valley Mountain monument someone said it had to be the most remote and isolated memorial of its kind. When I go to Huntington in August I spend time at the Cabell Co. Library, and I found that there was one in my hometown, at the cemetery where a lot of my family is, Spring Hill. Next year I will go and get some pictures of it. I'll be adding a lot of photos to the website over the next few weeks.
