Default Nervous about move~

My wife and I have been talking about moving to West Virginia. All of her family and our daughter lives near Parkersburg and Elizabeth. I have been in St. Louis, Mo all my old 53 years of old life. The furthest I ever moved was 20 miles. We are thinking of moving next spring or sooner. I’m very nervous about all of this. It’s a whole different culture for me. My wife and I really want to watch the grandchildren grow and we can not do that here in Missouri. The area we are looking to move (Elizabeth) is a small community and very nice, just to to to many deer on the road.

Hmm, well my experience with Elizabeth is that its a nice town, and if you don't mind driving to Parkersburg for most of your needs you will be fine. My boy friend is from Elizabeth, he doesn't really like going home too often though. He's just not a small town guy, when he wants to see his parents they usually drive down to Huntington or meet us halfway in Pt. Pleasant.

I'm not sure how well you would do in Elizabeth being from St. Louis, only because it is so small. Perhaps you guys should look at something in between Elizabeth and Parkersburg to have the best of both worlds.

Actually the country is quite similar...flat with a river nearby...Parkersburg having some of the same looks a St. Louis...Ballteams? that's a problem..Cinncinatti and Pittburgh would be the closest ball teams.

How about filling in the 'Wish List...Want a farm to get the grandchildren too? That can be done...
Place on the water? That can be done easily...
Condo or townhouse close to everything? That can be done too.

Great opportunity here...good luck.

Thanks everyone. We are also thinking about Walker,WV. somewhere around RT. 47. West Virginia is pretty close to the same climate and terrain as Missouri especially around the Ozarks here.
