Somebody please help me get an idea on the size of the PTC in Ranson. I've never been to it. Is it comparable to the University Town Center in Morgantown? Southridge Shopping Center in Charleston?

That is too bad. I bet it was great for the people who lived in that particular area. Not sure what they had to offer compared to say, Gold's Gym, nor cost comparison.

So, the theatre idea is totally off the tables now or is there still a slight chance that it could happen?

Here is a link to the master plan:

Only a fraction of this plan is currently built. Approx 350,000 sq ft or so exist right now. It has potential to be significant in size.

Default Five Guys Burgers and Fries

While out and about yesterday afternoon, I discovered there was some sort of meeting going on at Five Guys' future location at the Shoppes of Ranson next to Rite Aid. <there were a few important looking people in the building with the fast food chains' logo on their clothing and their vehicles in the parking lot>. I just had to drop by and get the 411. When I asked one of the suits when would the restaurant be open for business- he replied "hopefully February 1st".

From what I briefly observed of the meeting, it looks like the chain still plans to open a location in Ranson, finally received the funding they were looking for and the suits were on site possibly to review the blue prints of their restaurant. I hope their opening date is correct. If so, that is good news for Ranson.

"that is good news for Ranson" ..... not good news for me. I think that my wife and three sons solely supported Chik-Fila when they opened up for business. My kids have been watching for 5 Guys since they first heard about the new store.

Default Five Guys Burgers and Fries: UPDATE

Tuesday December 1st, the fast food chain started work on the interior of their future restaurant in Ranson. It looks like they do intend to open 1st quarter 2010.

The developers got in a scrap with Ranson over the parking lot design, so Target and Best Buy all went to business friendly Martinsburg. All over the parking lot design - how stupid.
