I was unaware of all of the "pill poppers" in the south. The only thing I know about drugs in WV is the Eastern Panhandle. Because of the fact that 1. We are located near two major highway systems, and 2. We are so close to DC/Baltimore Metro area that there is an increase of drugs in this area. Northern WV (guessing Wheeling area) may not be too bad, however consider that Wheeling is a little bit larger than the average WV city, so drug traffic is probably increased in that area. -mmccul

There are drugs in every corner of society. The extent to which they impact kids is directly proportional to the amount of parental involvement.

Narcotics is a problem that runs deep within all areas of society across our country. Wheeling, Charleston, and Huntington all have areas where drug-related problems exist - but everywhere really does; they're all three safe cities too. WV is squeaky clean compared to many major cities in neighboring states. The biggest drug-related problem facing the state's population is crystal meth and meth labs.
