Actually, the laziest people I've ever met in my life have been rich.. It's common for those with wealthy upbringings to expect other people to do all the work for them.

The rich should be taxed more not less.. This has nothing to do with welfare.
There should be more job opportunities for the working classes.. this has nothing to do with welfare.
Businesses should be regulated so its employees are treated better.. this has nothing to do with welfare.

ect.

Economic policy goes way beyond welfare or similar programs. I personally want a president who’s interested in more than just protecting the interests of businessmen and businesswomen.

So, the rich- who have put in the time and effort to get better educated and/or started succesful businesses should have to pay for drop out leeches? Ones who expect, no demand, that others foot the bill for their lives? You wish to remove the very incentive that makes America what it is; so others, too lazy/inept/short-sighted to provide for themselves or their families have the same levels of comfort? If that's what you seek, move to a socialist country. Here in America, those who work hard and get ahead reap the rewards.

Governmental regulations are the cause of job loss. If the employees are unhappy with the way they're treated, LEAVE THE JOB. Pretty simple, eh?

Well, keep on hoping for that. Hope to win the lottery as well, chances of either happening are the same. Big business puts politicians in Office for a reason.

"If that's what you seek, move to a socialist country."

Again, I agree with all that you said, Hinton. Nonetheless, I fear that with the direction that the current administration is steering this country, poor urza will be residing in a socialist country very soon...Sad.

or you could move to third world country where you could share the same ideals with the locals. You seem like you'd fit right in, in Uganda

If things go down the sewer here, I'm looking at India very hard.

At least a few countries have kept their sanity.

Australia, New Zealand, India...China.

Don't think so?...look at the foriegn investments in these countries...

same for me... but mine are Canada, Costa Rica, UK, and Spain. I do love Australia though, but it shocks me that you would pick that David. Seems way too liberal for your tastes.

India's civilization has been in process for 10,000 years...

Australia more or less ends with Tooheys dark beer for me....been there and did all of that...love the 'don't give a Sh*t attitude though...respect them for that...

I'm too old for the 'bloke and shelia routine...and I can teach in India...g'day.

Look at some of those vacant teaching jobs, Cody...a look doesn't cost anything...we need you here.

There has never been a 100% socialist country nor has there ever been a 100% capitalist country.. The United States is a lot more capitalistic than most of the western (capitalist) world. In the Netherlands, college is free. Imagine that one..

Yeah, and how many top engineers, doctors, and lawyers come from there? Yep, that's what I thought...

You desire equal out comes without equal effort. Why should anyone have to pay your way through life? Why am I responsible for you? If you did not (or do not) plan your life properly, I do not feel obligated to pay for your poopr choices. That mentality has created an entire generation of chronic lazy welfare leeches. They do not feel compelled to work because big government will take from the producers and give to them. Great system... for the lazy.
