2008 was an open primary for both parties. Before that only R's had an open primary, I gues that's what DK is referring to.

The 2008 primary I was handed the GOP form and let loose to 'my side' of the area. Unless I'm missing something here...

As events have unfolded in the years since I came to that realization, I have become more and more convinced of the accuracy of that assessment. He has acted contrary to the values of the Democratic Party consistently, has appointed terrible managers to head state agencies, and been a dismal disappointment as the CEO of a large organization (state government).
