Tappan Zee Bridge to Tarrytown to NYC (Piermont: house, purchasing)

I am considering purchasing a house in piermont, NY. For commuting purposes, I plan on driving across the Tappan Zee Bridge and parking at Tarrytown and then taking the Metro North train down to Grand Central.

I would be interested if anyone else is doing this commute and if so whether if anyone could comment on the traffic conditions on the bridge in the morning and in the afternoon rush hours.

traffic will be "heavy" across the bridge, although it's not completely stop and go. The bigger issue is parking in Tarrytown. It's all metered/municipal parking and can be an problem. You'd be better off taking one of the Tappan Zee Express commuter buses from the mall over the bridge.

There is a lot of traffic going over the Tappan Zee Bridge, however, Piermont is a nice towns. There are a lot of restaruants in Piermont NY.
