Commuter- Hastings on Hudson Bike storage?
Hi all
We are a couple with a toddler who will soon be moving to Hastings.
Husband will commute to upper Manhattan and wife will stay at home.
We would like to maintain our 1 car situation for environmental and financial reasons.
We are figuring out the best commute and wonder if there is a bike stand at the Hastings Train stop for commuters? We were at the farmer's market today and quickly looked around, but saw none.
That would be a quick and easy commute for me, but I don't want to leave the bike where it could be stolen or damaged, or "towed"
Thanks for any advice.

1. My recollection is that there is a bike rack at the base of the train station. If you face south and walk down the hill toward the Metro North Parking lot, it's toward your right -- where the elevator is.
2. In any case, Hastings is very walkable. I don't think there's anywhere in the town you couldn't walk to within 20 minutes.

Thank you. We'll be in Donald Park, so a bit of a trek to the train station and it would be nice if on a late night we can just hop on the bike and store it safely at the station.
Thanks again!

@citylion-
I realize this is an old post, but I am wondering how things turned out for you. My wife and I are considering moving to either Hastings or Dobbs Ferry from Manhattan, and we also would like to have just one car (also for environmental and financial reasons). Our decision about how close to a train station to live may depend somewhat on whether or not biking is a reasonable option. I.e., if it is not, we will try to be within walking distance. Also, if you know anything about bike parking at the dobbs ferry station (as well as hasitngs), let me know.
(as a side note, we have a 2 year old and a 4 year old, so I'm wondering how it is to live up there with one car *and* young children).
Feel free to send a message directly to me.
Regards,
-Mike
