Hi

New on the forums and looking for a bit of info please

I have just moved from the UK and currently living in temp apartment in Manhattan

However, I have an offer on a place in Harrison, so just waiting to hear

Anyway, next Saturday, I need to get from Manhattan to Purchase College (and back) to watch a soccer game - NY Cosmos U18 V's Westchester Academy U18's (long story!!)

I know there is no rail station in Purchase (and still waiting on delivery of my car) so any suggestion as to what would be the easiest way to get to the college??

I suppose nearest rail station (New Rochelle........I think) then a cab?

Thanks

Paul

This is on the SUNY Purchase website and I think these are good directions. Buses run pretty infrequently up here compared to Manhattan so I'd take the Rye option and then a cab. (You definitely do NOT want New Rochelle---that would leave you far south of your destination!!! Good luck.)

]y Train]
From NYC via rail from Grand Central Station:
Take the Harlem/Metro North Line to White Plains. Board the Anderson Hill Road bus No. 12 or take a taxi to campus. Alternatively, take the New Haven/Metro North Line to Rye and take a taxi to campus.

For more information about bus or train services, see the MTA Homepage

Take the Metro North from Manhattan to White Plains, when you get off the train walk across the street to the Transcenter. There' you'll get on the 12 bus, you can download the schedule from this link http://transportation.westchestergov..._timetable.pdf

You might have to take a cab back though, the bus doesn't run that frequently on the weekends.
