Well I guess I will do this...I live about 10 minutes from white plains and it probably has changed a lot from what you remember it to be. The city now has a skyline and one of the up and coming cities in the New York City area.
Houses are expensive there nowadays. The city is bustling and has lots to do....becoming a big commuter city as its proximity, travelling via Metro-North is only about 30 minutes. The new trump towers are building luxury condos....dont forget City Center with movie theatres (with IMAX) Barnes and Noble, COldstones...all the goodies. It truly has undergone a remarkable transformation.
Sorry I do not have pics

White Plains has changed a lot over the past couple of decades. A lot of new buildings and stores have been developed so that the town is much more lively than it was 20 years ago.
The ritz carlton is going to open 2 new condo/hotel buildings in a year or two http://www.cappelli-inc.com/developm...cesquare.shtml
Donald Trump built his condo building a couple years back and there is still a decent ammount of development yet to occur in White Plains.

Sorry lostpastPAT - I thought those links would help!
Have you tried the program "Google Earth"? You can download the free version from Google's website -- enter the zipcode (10606 I think you said) and view the area. You can also give it any street address that you want to see. It may help you with your search.
I can also go out one day and shoot some pictures for you and email them to you or post them here if you wish. If you give me a list of specifics things you want pictures of, I don't mind doing that.
I'll check back here in a few months to see your response. Otherwise, try Google Earth and see if that helps.
Good Luck!
