Are these 2 school systems combined. Can one live in one town and go to a school in another. Thanks for any help.

They have seperate school systems, and if you are zoned for one school no, you cannot attend another unless you tuition into it (it's usally about $25K+ in most districts).

Not sure if there is any overlap between post offices and schools up there, though. Someone there might chime in.

In my housing search I used school district as my main search criteria. I never got any crossover from Scarsdale to Chappaqua and vice versa.

There was one development that we saw that had some homes zoned for Chap and some further back for Armonk, but I'm not sure as you said if they had matching PO's. I do know that there are some homes zoned for Chappaqua schools that are technically in either Mt. Kisco or Mt. Pleasant PO's, though (which means that you don't get resident parking at the train).

There is a lot of municipality, PO, and school system overlap in this area. Armonk (Town of North Castle) and Chappaqua (hamlet in the Town of New Castle) have separate school districts.

You can live in (on the edges of) Armonk, Bedford, Mt Pleasant, or Mt Kisco municipalities, yet be in the Chappaqua School system. Similarly, I believe some people live in New Castle but are zoned for Armonk schools (not sure about this one) For the most part, people associate with the school system they are zoned for. However, there are some weird streets that are divided in unusual ways.

I meant Armonk... not Scarsdale.
