So mixed feelings about returning to NY although feel like doing it for all the right reasons... The South is great and really enjoyed my time there, but I MISS MY FAMILY TREMENDOUSLY!!! So, I am making the decision to pack it all up and move back to the Yonkers area.
I grew up there and visit occassionally so I am aware of the transition that the waterfront is making and the downslide of the area(s) south of it. I will be staying with family for a short while to gather myself and re-adjust, but I will be looking to find a 1 bdrm apt as soon as possible. What are the better areas to find a small 1 bdrm for as close to $1100 as possible in the Yonkers, Mt Vernon, Elmsford, New Rochelle areas? Schools and transit are not an issue as I have no children and will be commuting in westchester for work.
