Best School Districts in Westchester
GreatSchools.net and SchoolMatters - Home are great resources for researching schools in not the just Westchester but the whole country.
According to GreatSchools.net which bases its ratings on test results from elementary, middle and high schools, the following school districts are rated 10 out of 10 so I guess they are the best school districts from a test results perspective, but so many other factors (some unique to each family) are important I think when determining which schools are the best school districts.
Rye Neck
Irvington
Ardsley
Edgemont
Scarsdale
Chappaqua
Rye
Bronxville
Blind Brook (Rye Brook)
Briarcliff Manor
Pleasantville
Pelham
Poncantico Hills
If you are interested in high school rankings only Newsweek and US News rank all the high schools in the US on an annual basis. Visit their websites for 2008 (if they are available) or 2007 rankings.

I think that Scarsdale, Bronxville and Chappaqua have the best schools in the county because they have more funding coming in compared to Yonkers schools.

Actually, I'm looking more into becoming a federal agent but I am attracted to becoming a trooper if it doesn't work out.
Quick question, though... Does what I want to be affect you in any way? It's my life, bud. Let's keep it that way.

I grew up in Ardsley. It was and still is a great school system and a great little town.

elementary school with a math and science emphasis
Hi all, please help. I am looking for a school for my daughter who is in the 1st grade. She is very intelligent, high energy, well spoken and loves math and science. She is not being challenged enough in school and while I thought I had 1 more year before I would have to change her, I have quickly realized that she is not being challenged enough and so I must make the change now. I am trying to make a decision between public and private. I live in Mount Vernon, but will consider moving if that is the best choice.
